#TBT: SXSW 2013

Austin, Texas -- From New Year's Day to March each year, no one in the music industry or festival space can talk about anything else except the year's upcoming SXSW. Whether they are stressed planning the perfect showcase, haggling with hotels for a reasonable price, counting pennies for a flight, or simply overwhelmed with excitement for the "hipster spring break" - it's all anyone can think about.
With good reason, too. SXSW both kicks off festival season (unofficially) and acts as a 'summer' camp for music fans, bands, and professionals to hang out and find (or try to be one of) the "it" bands of the year. Now that we are less than a week away, we think it's fitting to take a step back a year to SXSW 2013 for a little throwback. Here's where we went, who we saw, and what we learned at the festival last year.
