Dover, Delaware -- Big news for fans of Firefly Music FestivalRed Frog Events has partnered with Coachella-founders Goldenvoice to help produce the event moving forward. The company also runs Stagecoach and assists with FYF Fest and New Orleans Jazz Fest.

In an interview with Billboard, Goldenvoice founders sought to alleviate any concerns of Firefly becoming the East Coast's Coachella. "Stagecoach, FYF and New Orleans Jazz Festival all have their own personalities, and we don’t want to water anything down," said Paul Tollett, Goldenvoice President/CEO. "Speaking for Coachella, I like to run it a certain way, and I know Firefly has their attitude on how they want to run their thing, and I would never want to change that."

The Goldenvoice representatives went further to clarify what this partnership would mean for the future of Firefly, citing goals to establish a permanent infrastructure at its Dover International Speedway site, which the festival has leased through 2032. "When you get a long term lease, it helps [because] you’re able to put in infrastructure and invest in long-term capital," said Tollett. "It makes a festival better when you can put some things in that you don’t have to tear up each year."

We can also expect even bigger names at the festival that saw Foo Fighters, Outkast, Jack Johnson, Imagine Dragons, and Beck in 2014. Tollett went on to say, "We'll assist in any way we can, such as helping access talent, sponsorships, and any tricks that we've learned along the way to help a festival get to the next level." This is welcome news for us at Cultivora, as we've seen this festival go from its humble 30,000-attendee inauguration to a slightly hiccup-y sophomore attempt and finally triumph in its third year with 80,000 tickets sold and a flawless, four-day production.

Firefly will take place June 18-21, 2015. Pre-sale tickets are currently sold-out, so you'll have to wait until the Winter to snag yours. Until then, feel free to check out our Photo Galleries from last year in anticipation of Firefly 2015.
