Governors Ball 2014 by Oliver Correa

New York City -- Drake, The Black Keys, and Florence + The Machine have been confirmed as headliners of this year's 5th annual Governors Ball Music Festival on New York City's Randall's Island.

The festival, affectionately referred to as Gov Ball and taking place June 5-7, will also see sets from Lana Del Rey, Deadmau5, My Morning Jacket, Bjork, Ryan Adams, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Chromeo, Tame Impala, Flume, Ratatat, The Decembrists, St. Vincent, The War on Drugs, Hot Chip, Sharon Van Etten, Little Dragon, Flying Lotus, Charlie XCX, Weird Al Yankovic, and many more. Scroll down to see the full lineup and the official lineup announcement video.

Of the announcement, Jordan Wolowitz, partner at Founders Entertainment, "We're thrilled to announce the 2015 lineup for Gov Ball, which we feel is our strongest yet." Here at Cultivora, we're inclined to agree. The lineup features some of the biggest names on the scene today, many of which were announced yesterday as part of Coachella's 2015 lineup, a festival that has many years on Gov Ball. However, Governors Ball also manages to act as a taste-maker, booking up-and-comers and smaller names the founders truly believe in.

Tickets to Gov Ball will go on sale Friday, January 9 at noon EST via eventbrite. At this time, General Admission, VIP, Super VIP, Transportation Passes, and Payment Plan Tickets will all become available.

Once you've read over the lineup and watched the announcement video, both below, head over to our Festival Guide to Gov Ball 2015 for everything else you need to know about the festival's 5th anniversary. From travel tips and festival insights to local NYC recommendations, it has it all.
