Video: Cultivora Takes Coachella
Indio, California -- Last month, Laura and I made the age-old pilgrimage to Coachella, capturing our adventures along the way. Read on for more details about our adventures, fast forward to certain segments, or scroll down for the full video.
We stayed at a beautiful house in the Toscana development in Indian Wells, and were joined by our Seattle correspondent, Kelsey Stoulil.

Once we got settled, we took a spin around town, stopping for tacos at Pueblo Viejo Grill (760-342-5900 / 81931 US Highway 111) in Indio. After some shopping and exploring in the Palm Desert, we hit up Mitch's (760-779-9200 / 73951 El Paseo), for some ahi tuna tacos and creative sushi rolls.
The rest of the weekend was all about Coachella, where you have a good -- no, great -- probability of running into people you know. Case in point: As we were exiting Coachella on day 1, I turned around to request an interview from a pair of random Coachellagoers. Lo and behold, it was our former intern Ai Gamo, with her boyfriend Samuel Joachim.

But that wasn't the only Coachella reunion. I caught up with my friends Laura and Bryan Hong on Coachella's iconic Ferris wheel, while Laura met up with her friend Mark Borst-Smith, who was working on The xx's production crew.
On Sunday, I sneaked off to Palm Springs to grab brunch at Norma's at the Parker Palm Springs (760-321-4630 / 4200 East Palm Canyon Drive), with Natalie Zfat and Chondra Sanchez founders of The Social Co.

Was the trek to the California desert worth it? Definitely. One dude in the video said it best: "If you're thinking about it, just do it. It's awesome." Check out the video below.
