  • New York City -- Sartorially speaking, the choices made at Governors Ball were wide ranging. We both admired and sympathized with our fellow festivalgoers, where the latter applied to the hundreds of people wadding through mud sans shoes. From Super Mario to Proenza Schouler, the crowd was replete with noteworthy accessories. We've identified a few of the festival's most popular categories in addition to a couple of our favorite standouts.

Many opted to make their own pieces this year - a great way of looking cute on a budget.

A very popular bag choice this year was the fringe purse - we're impressed at how many managed to stay white!

Accessorizing with an edge - spikes and bold belting were defining features for those with a grungier aesthetic.

Hats this year were diverse in variety - everything from trending street wear brands such as Stussy, Obey, and Supreme to hats that made you wish you were back in grade school.
