Bestival Rumored to Expand to the US and Europe

Isle of Wight, United Kingdom -- Less than a month away from the UK's eleventh annual Bestival, The Telegraph is reporting that founder Rob Da Bank has plans to expand the festival to North America and Europe.

Supposedly, an official announcement is coming next week, when Rob Da Bank will sign a distribution deal with a North American partner organization.

“The deal has been a long time coming,” he told The Telegraph. “I’ve never been in this industry for the money but now I’m 40 with three small kids, it’s time to get business minded.”

"People think Bestival pours multi-millions into my bank account every year and it doesn't," he continued. "That's not a sob story but now it's time to knuckle down a bit. My twenties and thirties were a total laugh but now I have to be responsible."

Regardless of whether the DJ/entrepreneur plans to expand Bestival for the money or not, we can't wait until Bestival hits the US.

The one-and-only (for now) Bestival UK will take place September 4-7, with Beck, Outkast, Foals, Chic feat. Nile Rodgers, and more. Select tickets are still on sale.
