Playa del Carmen, Mexico -- Mixmag might have thrown one of the best showcases of the 10-day music marathon that was The BPM Festival, taking Fusion Beach Club by storm with the French groove masters known as Apollonia.

Since launching their label in 2012 after years experimenting within the industry, the dynamic Apollonia trio - composed of Dyed Soundorom, Shonky, and Dan Ghenacia - have been steadily building a brand known for its indisputable quality. They've landed residencies at legendary parties around the world, like Shonky's Monday night residency at DC10 Ibiza, and the three's regular stopovers in London's Fabric and Berlin's Panorama Bar.

The chemistry with which these DJs communicate and compliment each other's tastes and skills is irresistible. Rather than sounding like three different artists playing back-to-back, Apollonia sounds like one identity coming to life to create a perfect fusion of techno, deep, and acid house in one place.

Other DJs, such as the Martinez Brothers, were spotted during the night throwing arms up high just like the other attendees. We were all sucked into a vacuum of deep grooves that, after it was over, made us feel as if it were a wild dream.

Apollonia is that girl of your dreams: she is sexy yet sweet, well mannered but can curse. Apollonia is that girl that makes your heart skip and is entangled in your thoughts.
