Playa del Carmen, Mexico -- Since 2005, Dirtybird has taken pride in bringing their unique brand of bass-infected ghetto house aloud to let all birds fly high. And during BPM, the birds were flying funky as the crowd danced atop the dance floor made of sand.

The lineup made up of Sacha Robotti, Nick Monaco, Ardalan, Justin Jay, J. Phlip, and Catz n' Dogz made it dirty. But having Dirtybird co-founder, Justin Martin, and Dirtybird's head honcho, Claude VonStroke, finish the night made it absolutely filthy.

San Franciscan, Barclay Crenshaw is the alias behind Claude VonStroke. In addition to his role in Dirtybird, he is the label owner of Mothership. But what was important during BPM was his DJ skills. During his set, he brought many tracks from his third album Urban Animal, which debuted this past September. This album portrays that life can be suffocating in a concrete jungle, that's why the urban kitty cat can come out of the alley to the beat of a kick drum - and that was exactly the solace fostered during the entire Dirtybird showcase.
