BPM 2015 Photo Diary Part 1
Playa Del Carmen, Mexico -- The BPM Festival is back in full effect, and we've been on the ground capturing its best moments. Scroll down to check out highlights of the festival's first half.
This was my first full day in Playa, and while I had taken a quick spin around the parties the day before and the festival kicked off the day before that, today I was out in full force, camera in hand. We started things off at Fusion for the Culprit Showcase, where Maxxi Soundsystem was on the decks, and thanks to strong subsequent sets from Benoit & Sergio, Edu Imbernon, and Adriatique, we were there until close.
Though I wanted to explore other venues, Mano Le Tough was too tempting to pass up, and we returned to Fusion Beach for the second consecutive day. Mano Le Tough killed his set, and DJ Tennis returned for some B2B action to close out the party.

Later that night, we started things off with a brief stint at Smoke N’ Mirrors at La Santanera, where Click | Click was manning the decks.

We capped off the evening with AC Slater at the Night Bass showcase. Though I’ve seen him play countless times with Trouble & Bass in New York City, he had since moved to Los Angeles to found Night Bass.

After missing tINI & the Gang party last year, there was no way I was making the same mistake twice. So it was back to Fusion Beach for the third day in a row, and totally worth it.
Just as Fusion was winding down, BPM announced a free pop-up party at Los Aguachilles, where Apollonia had people dancing in the street.
At night, we caught Adriatique for the second time this week at the Diynamic Showcase at Blue Parrot. They did a great job of tailoring their sets to the context; while Fusion had a lighter, more melodic tone, they went for a more progressive, club vibe at Blue Parrot.
We laid low during the day in anticipation for a long night, which started at Blue Parrot for Cadenza & This and That.
And finally, we were off to Paradise to catch Jamie Jones and of course, that famous Blue Venado sunrise.
