Bumbershoot and KEXP Offer Intimate Sets in Music Lounge
Nada Surf via the artist
Seattle, Washington --- Bumbershoot Festival has announced the ninth annual Bumbershoot Music Lounge, a super secret venue on the grounds of the festival, where Bumbershoot artists like Mac DeMarco, San Fermin, and Nada Surf will play intimate sets for a lucky few Bumbershoot attendees.
13 artists in total will perform in the Music Lounge over the course of the weekend - scroll down for the complete list and schedule, which also includes The Lonely Forest, The Head and the Heart, and The Reverend Horton Heat.
After days of watching performances on big festival stages, it does sound like a nice change of pace to see an artist perform in a smaller setting. But not everyone gets access to the Bumbershoot Music Lounge. If you already have a platinum pass to the festival, you're golden, because that gives you VIP access to each performance. If not, you can register for tickets through KEXP, the radio station sponsoring the performances.
Registration opens on August 6 through KEXP's website. Seating is first-come, first-served, so make sure to keep checking back with Bumbershoot and KEXP for the exact time registration opens, to make sure you can get a spot to your show of choice. If you get a ticket, you'll receive an e-mail with more details.
If you can't make it to Bumbershoot, don't worry - KEXP will broadcast every performance live for listeners at home. But if you are going, don't forget to check out our Guide to Bumbershoot 2014.
