Camp On-Site at ATP Iceland 2014

Keflavík, Iceland -- ATP Iceland has announced it will offer on-site camping at the ÁSBRÚ festival site, the former NATO base at which the festival will take place.
The site of both the campsite and festival features hangers, runways and air traffic installations - remnants of the site's former life as a NATO base. The festival's main stage will be hosted within the Atlantic Studios hangar space, while ATP Iceland's film program and after-party will inhabit the base's cinema and Officer's Club, respectively.
ATP usually does not offer camping options at its world-wide events, with ATP Iceland organizer Tómas Young siting the speed at which accommodation options sold out as the main reason camping options have been added to the festival. Not only will the campsite be reasonably priced, it will allow Reykjavík locals to attend the fest without worrying about driving.
Founder of ATP Barry Hogan also commented on the decision: "Being camping virgins, ATP has decided to break their camping cherry in Iceland this summer. The people of Iceland have spoken, and after the numerous requests we have had, this seems like a natural solution for ticket holders."
Campsite access during ATP Iceland, taking place July 10-12, is 15 GBP/3000 ISK, and can be purchased via www.midi.is. Campers have the option of bringing their own tent or opting into the Rent-A-Tent program for pre-pitched tents and various accessories. Rent-A-Tent-ers will also have access to a 24/7 staff and charging station free of charge.
In addition to the new camping option, various festival combinations - from shuttle options to NATO base day tours - are still available.
