Chance The Rapper Falls Ill, Cancels CounterPoint Appearance
Chance The Rapper by Marjana Jaidi
Kingston Downs, Georgia -- CounterPoint Music Festival announced today that Chance The Rapper has fallen ill and will not be performing this year. RiFF RAFF will take over his set time.
Chance's manager released a statement saying that doctors determined his illness to be "a combination of the flu virus and tonsillitis." He has cancelled all performances from April 23-27 and will see specialist this week to determine if surgery is necessary. This is some troubling news for festivalgoers; aside from CounterPoint, he is already slated to perform at 12 major upcoming festivals this summer.
CounterPoint will take place this weekend, April 25-27, and tickets are currently available with weekend passes starting at $199 and single-day passes at $99.
