Groningen, Netherlands -- Each year, Eurosonic Noorderslag picks a specific European country to showcase its artists and representatives across the conference, and has now distinguished Iceland with this honor for its 2015 installment.

With this reveal, Eurosonic has also unveiled the first four acts to hit the festival, and they are all, of course, Icelandic. Kaleo, Kiasmos, Rökkurró, and Samaris will head to Groningen this year.

Iceland has earned such recognition this year with regards to its burgeoning music festival scene, starting with this summer's inaugural Secret Solstice that brought acts like Disclosure and Massive Attack to Reykjavík before another successful ATP Iceland. November's Iceland Airwaves will import more huge names to the tiny country with The Flaming Lips and The Knife headlining.

Eurosonic Noorderslag will take place January 14-17, and registration is currently available for €275 until October 2.
