First-Ever Project Pabst to Hit Portland in 2014
Modest Mouse by Marjana Jaidi
Portland, Oregon -- Are we sure this isn't a Portlandia sketch? Apparently, Pabst Blue Ribbon is giving back to its primary clientele by hosting an indie music festival in the city best known for mustaches and fixed-gear bicycles. The inaugural Project Pabst will take place September 26-28 in Portland, and headliners include Modest Mouse, Tears for Fears, and Guided by Voices.
The three-day event will also see the likes of Violent Femmes, Lord Huron, and GZA (performing his album Liquid Swords in full) as well as Rocket From the Crypt, Phosphorescent, Red Fang, and Shabazz Palaces. Scroll down for the full lineup.
The festival is divided into the main event and separate night shows at venues around Portland. The Blue Ribbon Weekend Pass ($150) provides access to all, whereas weekend ($45) and single-day ($25) passes only provide entry to the main event with separate tickets being sold for night shows. Head to the festival website for all ticket options.
