Fool's Gold Announces 2014 Day Off Dates, Brooklyn Lineup
Brooklyn, New York -- Before you book that train ticket or last-minute flight out of New York for Labor Day weekend, consider spending your day off in Brooklyn instead, with Danny Brown, French Montana, Araabmuzik, and more, because Fool's Gold's Day Off is back for 2014.
The first of five single-day festivals will take place at 50 Kent Avenue in Brooklyn on September 1, and the other Day Off events include Toronto on September 6, Los Angeles on October 12, Atlanta on November 1, and Miami on December 7. The lineups for those have yet to be revealed, but Fool's Gold promises that info is coming soon.
Other artists on the Brooklyn lineup are The Lox, Brenmar, Hoodboi B2B Falcons, Yung Gleesh, World's Fair, Nick Catchdubs feat. B.I.C., Shash'u, Black Dave, and Grandemarshall, and some surprise special guests. On the official Day Off page, the special guests are listed along with a red Canadian flag leaf - hinting at an appearance from someone hailing from our neighbors to the north. Fool's Gold owner A-Trak is Canadian, so it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to think that he might make an appearance at his own festival - maybe even performing as the Brothers Macklovitch with his brother, Dave 1 of Chromeo.
If you want to find out for yourself, you'll have to snag a ticket when they go on sale on Tuesday, July 15. In the past, Day Off has been free, but this year, a $15 ticket will guarantee entry and avoid disappointment for those who arrive once the venue has reached capacity.
You might be at the office while reading this, but get excited for your next Day Off with a teaser video from the festival below.
