New York City -- If you aren't already drooling over the lineup, the team at Governors Ball has just announced the food vendors for this year's event - and from Crooked Tree's crêpes to the infamous Momofuku Milk Bar "crack pie," it looks like they've really stepped up their game.
The food lineup offers a diverse and delicious array of options for festivalgoers, with vendors repping NYC's best food trucks and restaurants. Grab a Cuban and some Mexican-style corn at Cafe Habana, try a fresh lobster roll from Luke's or a veggie corndog from Jalepeno Corndog Consessions, or spring for a spinach and ricotta Sicilian arborio rice ball from Arancini Bros.
If you're into interesting fusions, try an organic beef hotdog with Japanese curry at Asiadog, or go for the smokey carnitas at Mexican BBQ joint Mexicue. Korilla BBQ will be serving up contemporary Korean options like bulgogi wraps and chosun rice bowls.
Taco lovers have a plethora of options - I, myself, plan to try a chorizo taco with guac at The Taco Truck, a couple of fish tacos at The Taco Tent, a chipotle pork taco at Calexico, and wash it all down with a fresh limeade. I also hear Cemita's has an absurd 10-layer sandwich with a recipe hailing from Puebla, Mexico.
For those who prefer the classics, head to Crifdog for a gourmet hotdog, Bareburger, GO Burger, Brindle Room, or Beekman's for a top notch burger and fries, Little Muenster or Morris Truck for a grilled cheese, Sticky's Finger Joint for chicken fingers, or Pie for the People or Pizza Rita for a veggie or pepperoni slice.
Khe-Yo will be serving up Laotian cuisine, L'Apicio and Porchetta mouthwatering Italian sandwiches, Carl's Steaks and Phil's Steaks Philly cheesesteaks (clearly), and Toum authentic Lebanese cuisine. Mayhem & Stout will offer up delicious artisan sandwiches, Handsome Hank's classic fish and chips, Southernmost Falafel sriracha-spiked falafel sandwiches, and those in the VIP section can enjoy award-winning Thai from Pok Pok.
Head over to Hometown Barbecue for a local craft beer, Port's for an iced coffee, or Brooklyn Soda Works for something refreshing to drink - and finish your lunch off with something sweet from Hot Bread Kitchen, Cool Haus, Melt, Hippie Dips, Rita's, King of Pops, or Candy Rox.
Stay hungry, my friends.
