Hideout Block Party & A.V. Fest Complete 2014 Lineup

Chicago, Illinois -- Hamilton Leithauser (of The Walkmen) and Empires complete the lineup for The Hideout Block Party/Onion & A.V. Fest, which will take place September 5-6. This announcement finalizes the lineup that already included Death Cab for Cutie, The War on Drugs, The Dismemberment Plan, Sylvan Esso, and more - scroll down to check out the lineup in full.

The Hideout Block Party is the combined effort of The Onion's arts offshoot The A.V. Club, and Chicago venue The Hideout. It will take place outside the venue ("block party,"duh), rain or shine.

The festival prides itself on its low-key, family friendly vibe, including a kids' area, and free entry for children under 10. Portions of all ticket sales will be donated to various Chicago-based charities, including Foundations of Music (formerly Rock for Kids), which is dedicated to bringing music education to Chicago public schools.

Full Friday Lineup: Death Cab For Cutie, Hamilton Leithauser, The Handsome Family, and Bad Luck Jonathan (feat. Jon Langford).

Full Saturday Lineup: The War On Drugs, The Dismemberment Plan, funky METERS, Mac DeMarco, Sylvan Esso, Valerie June, Empires, Plastic Crimewave Vision Celestial Guitarkestra.
