HMS Bestival Announces New Arena for 10th Anniversary

Isle of Wight, UK -- Watch HMS Bestival Captain Rob da Bank announce The Port, the newest dance arena for the festival taking place September 5-8.

After a decade on the sea, The Port will see the festival's namesake ship return to land - sort of. As the largest project since Bestival's inception, The Port is a landlocked harbor and pier with the HMS Bestival ship at its center. As Rob Da Bank notes in the announcement video below, the festival has had it all - from fire breathing spiders to rave trees - but never has it had "a life sized ship transmitting the best techno and house DJs across the waves while lasers strafe the crowd and a lighthouse booms its foghorn!" Sounds good to us.

The Port will host Richie Hawtin on Friday night, Annie Mac Presents on Saturday, and Carl Cox closing out the festival Sunday night. Newly announced artists Knife Party, DJ EZ, Toddla T, The 2 Bears, Jaguar Skills, Phat Phil Cooper and Russ Cuban will join the previously announced DJs to help festivalgoers tear up The Port's dance floor. You can find the full music lineup, including The Port DJs, below.

Tickets for Bestival are on sale and range in options from campervan camping to teenage tickets. A 15-week payment plan is also available ticketline for those wishing to pay in small weekly increments.
