Miami, Florida -- The annual International Dance Music Awards at Winter Music Conference in Miami have just released their winners. The ceremony took place on Thursday with awards being given to artists and EDM industry professionals and companies.

The IDMAs have been a staple of the Miami Music Week for the last twenty-nine years, self-described as "the only longstanding awards event dedicated to the EDM industry." Over two million voters participated in online polls to determine the winners. This year's ceremony saw performances from big names like BP and Cash Cash

The big winner of 2014 was Armin van Buuren who took home a whopping eight IDMAs. He won Best Artist (Solo), Best Trance DJ, Best Producer, Best Podcast or Radio Mixshow DJ, and Best Compilation or Full Length DJ Mix for A State of Trance 2013. His track "This is What It Feels Like" featuring Trevor Guthrie won three including Best Trance Track, Best Featured Vocalist Performance, and Best Music Video.

Another notable winner was Martin Garrix who received three for Best Electro/Progressive Track for "Animals" as well as Best Break-Through DJ and Best Break-Through Artist (Solo). Skrillex won two including Best Dubstep/Drum & Bass DJ.

Belgium's Tomorrowland received Best Music Event, beating out BPM, Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival, Electric Zoo, TomorrowWorld, and Ultra.

WMC just ended yesterday, but if you're still hanging out in the Miami area check out our WMC Guide for recommendations on the best places to eat, crash, shop, party, and explore.
