Local Favorites to Play Heineken Open Source Stage at Flow Festival
Helsinki, Finland -- With each passing day, the anticipation burgeons for the arrival of the epic four day Flow Festival on August 7-11.Taking place in the historic precinct of Suvilahti, this former power plant will serve as a temporary home to a multitude of different stages filled with artists from all across the globe.
As promised, this year's festivalgoers were able to actively participate in the lineup decision process by voting for their favorite acts that they would like to see perform. Holding up to their word, the creators have just divulged the Heineken Open Source Stage lineup that is comprised of the most voted nascent local and cult artists. The program will be hosted by none other than the Finnish rap visionary Edy Kehakettunen.
Starting on Friday at 7pm, head on over to the stage to feel the rhythm of the native hip-hop scene with Noah Kin, followed by Anni who imbricates the vibrations of jazz, hop-hop, and pop into short stories, and the iconic cult artist Vahaiset Aanet. To top the night off, the Heineken stage will showcase one of the most popular verbal artists, Tuuttimorko.
On the third day of the festival the stage will feature WGF, delicately rich indie-pop tunes of Jonna, and the band Lieminen, who goes from one-man show to six-member supergroup performance. DJPP All Stars will conclude the night with their chart-climbing and electronic-infused hip-hop tunes that will be sure to garner your attention.
With Flow drawing to a close on Sunday, Heineken brings to you at 6pm the vivaciously sharp melodies ofLoft Apartment, the dance performance group Ballereinot, and the riveting act of the hip-hop group Oukkidouppi. At 8:45pm, don't miss the remarkable Fotoshop to cap of the festival.
It is not too late to purchase tickets, which are 150€ for a 3-day pass and 180€ for a 4-day pass.
