Lollapalooza Rolls Out Food Vendor Lineup for 2014

Chicago, Illinois -- Lollapalooza has just announced the food vendor lineup for its 2014 installment, and, like Bonnaroo, we're seeing a ton of meaty products juxtaposed with super-healthy vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. All food at the Chow Town and Farmers Market areas of Lollapalooza come from local Chicago businesses. 

In the Chow Town section of the festival grounds, you can expect a wide variety of vendors. For burgers, check out Edzo's Burger Shop, which was named best burger at Lolla 2013, or MBurger, a growing Chicago staple. If the carnivore in you simply wants meat and nothing else, look up Big Fork Brands for bacon sausage on a stick (they also offer a vegan and gluten-free salad). Thai food is also well represented in Chow Town with Star of Siam and The Goddess and the Grocer

If you're looking for classic Chicago cuisine, check out Franks 'n' Dawgs for regular or truffle hotdogs and fries or Chubby Wieners, who also offers a Vegan wiener. No trip to the Windy City is complete without a deep-dish pizza pie, which Lolla is providing with Connie's and Lou Malnati's. For the adventurous crowd, Graham Elliot is offering a lobster corndog. And finally, if you're looking for a decent beer to go with a pork chop sandwich or vegetarian falafel pita, Goose Island Brewpubs will be present. 

You can expect far healthier options in the Farmers Market section. For example, grab a veggie burger or portabella tamale at the River Valley Kitchen Farmers Table. For those of us with a sweet tooth, Lolla is bringing non-fat ice cream cups and a vegan, gluten-free fruit bar at Yoberri Gourmet in addition to Puffs of Doom, who, aside from having a sweet name, are offering various artisanal puffs. You'll also want to check out Rock 'n Roll Noodle, which is essentially Thai cuisine with a Pad Thai taco option (also known as "heaven in a tortilla").

Lollapalooza will take place August 1-3, and general admission and VIP passes are currently sold-out with a high-end options still available
