Tulsa, Oklahoma -- Everyone's favorite 90s boy band of brothers has announced The Hop Jam Craft Beer and Music Festival, set to take place in the Brady Arts District of their hometown.

It is difficult to imagine Hanson old enough to drink let alone start their own beer and music festival, but today's announcement doesn't stray far from the brothers' activities over the past year. 2013 saw the launch of Mmmhop Pale Ale, which will become available outside of the regional market for sale online the day of the festival on May 18.

Also coinciding with the festival is American Craft Beer Week, fitting considering The Hop Jam will feature 14 breweries from across the state of Oklahoma, including Hanson Brothers Beer (duh), Mustang Brewing, Marshall Brewing, Prairie Artisan Ales, COOP Ale Works, and Battered Boar Brewing Company. Not only will these be available for purchase and sampling at the event, some of these craft brewers will be onsite themselves.

As Taylor Hanson stated in the announcement, "Through The Hop Jam, our hope is that we can help support the craft beer community and foster a one of a kind music event, while also creating an anchor for the city's downtown renewal."

The free music component will run from 5-10pm on May 18 and will be headlined by Hanson (again, duh) and Robert Randolph and The Family Band. The remainder of the lineup has yet to be released.

If you're an Oklahoma-based band, enter for your chance to kick off the music at the festival. Simply submit your songs via Tulsa World and prepare your fans for a week of online voting beginning May 4. The winning band will be announced May 11 and, in addition to a slot at the festival, will win placement of a downloadable track on select Mmmhop Pale Ale bottles via QR code.
