Music Monday Playlist: ATP End of An Era Part 1

posted by Laura Baker-Finch on November 18, 2013

Camber Sands, UK -- The last ever UK Holiday Camp festivals, two consecutive weekends with different lineups and curators, kick off this weekend with End Of An Era Part 1.

Curated by ATP and Primavera Sound, the first installment features Television performing Marquee Moon in full, Dinosaur Jr, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Múm, Les Savy Fav, Magik Markers, Lee Ranaldo and The Dust, Thurston Moore's Chelsea Light Moving, and many more from November 22-24, 2013.

The first ATP (All Tomorrow's Parties) festival took place 2001, with Mogwai curating a weekend at Pontins Holiday Camp in Camber Sands. The festival continued each year at the camp and expanded globally inspiring a slew of artist-curated and boutique festivals to follow. While the next two weekends won't bring the ATP franchise to an end, they will be the final holiday camp editions of the festival so organizers can "allow ATP to focus on their growing schedule of city and international based events in 2014 and beyond."

ATP's End Of An Era Part 2 will take place the following weekend, November 29-December 1. Stay tuned next week for our Part 2 Playlist.
