Music Monday Playlist: Holiday Hits 2013

posted by Laura Baker-Finch on December 02, 2013

Throw your childhood CDs of kids choirs and carolers away, this holiday playlist will be all you need this December.

We wanted to spice up your holiday listening to be on par with your spiced (and spiked) hot cider, so we put together the 44 best holiday tracks you need to be listening to this season. We have the classics covered ("Winter Wonderland,' "Feliz Navidad," "Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town," "O Come All Ye Faithful," "Frosty The Snowman," etc.) but threw in their newer, arguably better, versions. The classics are also mixed in with more novel tracks from N Sync, Bad Religion, The Smashing Pumpkins, TLC, Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, Bright Eyes, Destiny's Child, Patti Smith, RUN-DMC, and Jimmy Eat World, to name a few. And don't worry, Mariah Carey is accounted for as well.

Warning: This is not your Grandma's holiday playlist, though we do advice you pair it with her gingerbread cookies and eggnog if not at your own tacky sweater party, potluck, secret santa, or browsing our holiday gift guide.
