Suffolk, UK --- I love Latitude. It is that simple.
Great headline acts, beautiful country park arena, and amazing people. The thing people don't tend to realize is that they go above and beyond to promote new music from around the world. It's not just music though, there's a staggering range of things to do, from theater and literature to comedy and cabaret, all wrapped up in a four-day package that leaves you wanting more and wishing the festival was much longer.
This playlist features artists that lean towards the new music end of the spectrum and highlight some of the best of the UK as well as of around the world, including the beautiful summer soul from Laura Mvula, guitar band bang from The 1975, Australian hip-hop-influenced electronica from Flume, traditional Irish instrumentation hybridized with dub-step from Young Wonder, and an invasion of haunting Scandinavian vocals from Thomas Dybhdahl, The Tallest Man on Earth, and Efterklang.
Whether you're going to Latitude at the end of the week or enjoying the sunshine elsewhere then this playlist will get you in the mood for a great weekend. If you happen to be in the former category, make sure to check out our Festival Guide to Latitude for festival insights and recommendations of where to eat, sleep, shop, party, and explore nearby.
If you get the itch to attend Latitude after listening to the playlist, check out Festicket's packages to Latitude 2013.
