New Orleans, Louisiana -- As one of the final North American festivals of 2013, the lineup of Voodoo Music + Arts Experience is at once redundant and diverse. Two of the three headliners - Nine Inch Nails and The Cure - have taken the first line slot on many flyers earlier in the year and, the lineup taken as a whole, embodies those of Riot Fest, Electric Zoo, Jazz Fest, and less genre-specific events as Lollapalooza and Governors Ball.

There may not be many novel picks (save for Pearl Jam who has not played a festival since the release of Lightening Bolt last week), but myriad genres are represented thus rendering the festival's redundancy acceptable. It may be repetitive but it's no carbon copy of any one event; Voodoo represents 2013 in all festival lineups.

Take a listen to our comprehensive playlist to the festival, kicking off with old and new representations of the three headliners before delving into the remaining 70+ acts.
