Electric Zoo 2013 via the festival

New York City -- The annual Electric Zoo festival is nothing but an all-inclusive menagerie of musical tastes. Arguably, since the EDM wave has hit America hard over the last few years, fans have begun to discover all the many and varied strains of the umbrella genre. Our playlist has the same multi-flavored attitude and incorporates beats from every artist on the lineup, who could be found on Spotify that is.

Our selections start off with melodic sounds layered with vocals and funk, with tracks like "People Come People Go" from David Guetta's early years. Following are tracks that progress towards tech house like Hot Since 82's remix of Green Velvet's "Bigger Than Prince" and dark techno like Chris Liebing's "Auf und ab." The middle is thick with mainstage prog house and electro bangers including Dirty South, Alesso, and Ruben Haze's "City of Dreams" followed by trance from long-time names such as BT and Paul van Dyk. The next few tracks have a down tempo sound interspersed with dubstep breaks to transition to the latest dirty trap flavors, before a feel good come down to Branchez's remix of "High You Are" and as apt a closing song ever - "End Credits" by Chase & Status and Plan B.

Press play to get yourself pumped for the Zoo, and don't forget to download the Official Electric Zoo Travel Guide complete with this playlist as well as travel tips, festival insights, and EZoo artist recommendations for the best spots to eat, sleep, shop, drink, and explore around New York City.
