All Aboard the Ferry to Toronto Island!
One of the greatest things about Toronto is that escape from the hustle and bustle of city life is only a short ferry ride away. So when JanSport and Vice Magazine teamed up to offer a free concert, featuring Smith Westerns and Dusted, hundreds of fans and friends brought their good vibes to Artscape Gibraltar Point.

Bonfire Session
The JanSport Bonfire Sessions is a free outdoor concert series with music brought to fans by Noisey, VICE's music channel. This past April, the Noisey team stopped by Coachella for a free concert with Crystal Antlers, and in March, they held a show in Austin during SXSW with local favorites White Denim
The next Bonfire Session will be in San Fransico and is to be determined...during Outside Lands perhaps?

This game involves a bean bag tossed onto a raised platform with a hole in the far end. It's harder than it looks.

Dusted
The First band to play was a local Toronto band called Dusted, which features Brian Borcherdt of Holy F*ck and Leon Taheny. The band's melodic folk music was a nice treat as we basked in the comforts of nature.

Nothing Brings People Together Like S'mores
The best bonfire treat that I can imagine was a melted, gooey mess of delicious: s'mores.

The Beach at Dusk
The beach was literally a stone's throw away, concealed by a brush of bushes. Everyone took brief breaks in clusters, leaving the music and beer to sit by the fire and stare at the waves washing up the shore.

Smith Westerns
The Smith Western, an import from Chicago, are a local favorite in Toronto. The band played their revivalist art-rock under the cooling sun at dusk.

The Ferry Back to the City
Everyone crowded together to make their way onto the last ferry back to the city. The cool breeze of being on the lake at night was a really refreshing way to end a fun filled evening.
