Los Angeles, California -- Culture Collide Music Festival returns to Los Angeles this October 16-18 with headliners like Cloud Nothings and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. However, the main goal of the event is to bring international acts to the US and expose a stateside audience to new artists. Since most of these bands are probably unfamiliar to American festivalgoers, we've decided to curate a Spotify playlist of our favorite 15 foreign artists to help you sift through the 50+ acts on the bill.

Australia is well represented in the playlist with the electropop of Gossling, Phebe Starr, and Banoffee; the guitar rock of The Delta Riggs and Dune Rats; and the chill indie of Fractures, all of whom will appear at the Aussie BBQ Showcase Saturday. A few Swedes show up as well, including the folk group We Met Tomorrow and Nina Persson, who comes across as a Scandinavian Jenny Lewis. Quantic adds some trip hop from Colombia to the playlist, while Sleep Thieves from Ireland prove with "City of Hearts" they should have been featured on the Drive soundtrack. Finally, we chose Love X Stereo to represent Korea with their catchy K-pop track "Soul City (Seoul City)."

Feel free to stream our playlist below or open it in a new window. Tickets for Culture Collide Los Angeles are still available for $30, but keep in mind all shows are 21+.
