Spring Awakening Festival Announces 2015 Dates + Age Minimum
Spring Awakening 2014 via the festival
Chicago, Illinois -- Spring Awakening Music Festival (SAMF) will celebrate its fourth anniversary on Chicago's Solider Field June 12-14, 2015. This date announcement comes with a newly imposed age minimum requirement of 18.
The 18+ restriction will extend from 2015 forward and comes as an extension of Spring Awakening's safety initiatives. In 2014, SAMF launched Safe & Sound on its festival grounds to encourage festivalgoers to take care of one another. The SAMF Wellness Team, an offshoot of the program made up of "a dedicated group of peers," were available onsite to offer water, answers, and a direct line to security. Even with the new age minimum, SAMF Safe & Sound will still be a feature of the festival's 2015 installment.
If you're 18 or older, you can already book your Spring Awakening 2015 experience during the festival's holiday pre-sale, going on now. A limited number of General Admission non-upgradeable tickets are available, with VIP tickets coming at a later date.
