New York City -- The second annual Global Citizen Festival has announced the lineup for their free September 28 event, taking place on Central Park's Great Lawn.

Alicia Keys and John Mayer will join Stevie Wonder and Kings of Leon at the free ticketed fest, which works to end extreme poverty. To earn tickets to the fest, sign up to become a Global Citizen, then earn points by taking action through various online efforts, like sharing articles, videos, and infographics about the world's core issues. Points can also be earned by signing online petitions and sending emails to world leaders. Once you've earned eight points, you can enter the draw to win one of 27,000 pairs of tickets. A limited amount of VIP tickets will be also be available for purchase.

In addition to working to end extreme poverty, Global Citizens will campaign for policy changes in educations, child and maternal health, and women's equality in 2013. While the number of individuals living in poverty has been halved since 1990, there are still 1.2 billion people living on less that $1.25 USD per day. The Global Citizen Festival will celebrate the strides that have been made against poverty as well as gaining momentum to continue to do so.
