TechfestNW 2014 Announces Speaker Lineup

posted by Alyssa Buffenstein on July 08, 2014

Portland, Oregon --- It's been over two months since we told you about the lineup for MusicfestNW, headlined by Girl Talk, Spoon, and Phantogram, but now we've got a different type of lineup announcement for you. TechfestNW is, as you might imply by the name, MusicfestNW's tech-geared counterpart, that brings together thinkers, startups, and companies in the fields of technology, design, creativity, entrepreneurship, education, career opportunities, and talent specific to Portland and the Pacific Northwest.

TechfestNW's lineup of speakers has been announced, including thinkers like Steve Adler from the NFL, Chris Satchell from Nike, Matt Mansfield from National Geographic, and more. Speakers will discuss and debate topics ranging from technology to the creative process at Portland's OMSI, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, on August 16-17. Scroll down to see the full lineup announced today.

Tickets for TechfestNW went on sale with the speaker announcement. Tickets are $99, and include admission to both days of talks, as well as a talent fair, catered lunch, networking events, and parites. Combination MusicfestNW tickets are $175. If you're a techie, this is a steal - especially since 2014 will mark just the third year of Techfest, but the festival's talks have already been compared to the likes of both TED and SXSW.
