Test Drive: Firefly Mobile App
Firefly Music Festival, which kicks off July 20 in Delaware, has released their official mobile application, a one stop place for everything Firefly. The app includes features useful for before, during, and after the festival.
Festival Map
Whether you're looking for the bathroom or lost your sense of direction from all the dancing, you'll be able to easily orient yourself within the festival grounds with the Festival Map. You can zoom in and out to locate stages, ATMs, restrooms, and vendors with the help of their legend.

My Schedule and Lineup
While there are so many artists, activities, and stages to explore at Firefly, it's important that you don't miss your favorite bands (most likely the reason why you're attending). The My Schedule feature allows you to browse the lineup alphabetically or by stages so you can build a custom schedule of artists you want to see by both day and time - it'll even send you a convenient reminder! This feature also allows you to "like" an artist, see who others have "liked" in the What's Hot section, download the artists' music directly from iTunes, and visit their website.

News & Socialize
You'll be able to stay updated and in the loop with all Firefly news in ease. This feature has the latest updates from the festival and allows you to see Firefly's tweets as well as who is mentioning @LiveAtFirefly. You can connect your own Facebook and Twitter accounts to post statuses directly from the app.
Festival Camera
The festival camera allows you to select pre-taken photos from your library or take them on your phone, without closing the app, and add a Firefly filter. This seemed like a great idea, but using it was underwhelming - there's only one filter option.
Overall, the app is functional, practical, and organized. Its clean, easy-to-use design will definitely help festivalgoers get the most out of their Firefly experience (if there's WiFi at the event, that is). However, we were hoping for a bit more originality and creativity from the festival that's bringing us hot air balloon rides!
Make sure to download the application for the iPhone or the Android before you get to the festival in order to get the most out of it. For more on the July 20-22 festival, head to our Firefly Festival Guide for all the insights, tips, and suggestions you'll need.
