Watch Bruno Mars and Red Hot Chili Peppers' Super Bowl Halftime Performance

posted by Laura Baker-Finch on February 03, 2014

We admit, last night's Super Bowl didn't have nearly the number of highlights as last year. There was no blackout, Destiny's Child reunion, or the beautiful Beyonce herself. But while the internet today isn't flooded with the unflattering memes and killer gifs that followed Beyonce's concert - I mean, the Super Bowl - last year, props are still due to last night's music guests.

Bruno Mars kicked off his show with a drum solo, to everyone's shock and delight, before joining his gold jacket and skinny tie clad band for "Treasure" and "Runaway Baby." Mars' proved the naysayers wrong as mom's across the country swooned over his 1950s style, killer voice, and James Brown-esque splits.

The bouffant-topped singer was joined on stage by the Red Hot Chili Peppers for a rendition of their 1991 hit "Give it Away." In true RHCP style, both Flea and Anthony Kiedis were shirtless as the two made use of the entire stage for their high-energy antics.

Mars concluded the halftime performance with "Just The Way You Are," the single that won him his first two Grammy's. Singing at center field with a single spotlight, the song, dedicated to troops from around the country, left us with chills.
