Flow 2015

Flow 2014 via the Festival

Flow draws artists from all over the world, while showcasing the best that Finland has to offer. But it's not only the lineup that draws the crowds; the festival takes place in the historic Suvilahti, a former power plant. Not only does the plant's architectural features add to the landscape, the festival uses the empty indoor spaces to create temporary restaurants, bars, and stages.

Finnish culture permeates everything from the music lineup, which features over 20 local artists, to the décor, furnished by local design outfit Marimekko. You can sample traditional Finnish food at one of the many restaurants that set up shop on the festival grounds, and Finns are very fond of champagne, which means it's served on-site. Even the festival's main sponsor, Nokia, hails from Finland.
